A Series Paper Size and Dimensions
Commonly recognised suite of dimensions when specifying printed documents and literature.
Most people are familiar with the size A4, half this to A5 or double it to A3. The table below shows the actual dimensions and the full range of A series dimensions.
B Series Paper Size and Dimensions
Graphic designers will recognize this series for specifying non-standard size jobs and, if costs are a critical factor, determining how many impressions can be printed onto a sheet of a certain size. Printers specify and purchase their paper, in the main, to these sizes which are geared to fit onto the types of printing presses they use. The table below shows the actual dimensions and the full range of B series dimensions.
C Series Paper Size and Dimensions
This series is used for the sizing of envelopes only. The idea is that an A4 sheet will fit into a C4 envelope unfolded. Likewise, an A5 sheet will fit into a C5 envelope unfolded. An A4 sheet parallel folded twice will fit into a DL envelope.
In addition to these dimensions, envelopes come in many other sizes for specific purposes. Please call us if you are looking for speciality, board, padded or other types of envelopes and we will advise accordingly. The table below shows the actual dimensions and the full range of C series dimensions.
Business Cards Size and Dimensions
The standard business card size is 85mm x 55mm and cards can be printed landscape or portrait. Although this is the most common size you can choose something slightly different – for example, double the width then fold in half to create a 4-page card.
